Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Call Blocker II (“the App”) handles information when you use the App. We value your privacy and design the App to work primarily on your device.

1) What the App does

Call Blocker II helps you create and manage a personal block list and (optionally) enable caller identification using a built-in spam list. The App works through Apple’s CallKit “Call Blocking & Identification” feature.

2) Data you create inside the App

Your personal block list (phone numbers you add manually or import from Contacts).
Optional spam list (a list of spam numbers that can be downloaded/updated if you enable it).
Settings such as dark mode, spam list toggle, and iCloud backup toggle.

Important: Phone numbers in your personal block list are stored locally on your device and in your iOS App Group to be accessible by the Call Directory Extension. They are used only to provide the call blocking feature.

3) Contacts access

The App may request permission to access your Contacts only so you can quickly import a phone number into your personal block list. This makes it possible to show your contacts in the “Contacts” tab and add a number with a simple swipe.

We do not upload your Contacts to our servers.
We do not store your Contacts in any remote database.
Contacts access is optional. You can use the App without Contacts permission by adding numbers manually.

4) iCloud backup & restore

If you enable “Backup to iCloud” inside the App, your personal block list file may be saved to your iCloud container and restored from iCloud on your request. This uses Apple’s iCloud services.

Apple’s iCloud processing is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and iCloud terms.

5) Network access

The App may use an internet connection for:

Spam list updates (only if you enable the USA spam list feature).
Advertising (only for non-premium users, if ads are enabled in the App).
Basic diagnostics such as checking connectivity or loading resources required for these features.

6) Advertising & tracking (ATT)

The App may display ads using third-party advertising services (for example, Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK). On iOS 14 and later, the App may request permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

If you allow tracking, the advertising identifier (IDFA) may be used to provide and measure ads.
If you deny tracking, the App will still work, and ads may be shown without using IDFA (depending on the ad provider).
Premium users do not see ads.

7) What we do NOT collect

We do not collect or upload your Contacts list.
We do not record your call history.
We do not listen to calls or access call audio.
We do not sell your personal data.

8) Data retention

Your personal block list remains on your device (and optionally in your iCloud container if enabled) until you delete it, remove items, clear the list, or uninstall the App.
